Dishonest Scales

use your faith as you should,

Dishonest Scales

“Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.” (Proverbs 11:1)

Dishonest scales can be likened to a person with a questionable character, doing such things as taking advantage of their employer by killing time in the toilets, misusing the company’s credit card, cutting corners to get further on in life etc.

When there are dishonest scales there is a lack of integrity of character.

Behaving like this will only lead to a guilty conscience, knocking your confidence and not allowing you to use your faith as you should.

The Bible says that we should look to Abraham (Isaiah 51:2), why?

Abraham was a man of integrity; his character was unquestionable and this drew God’s attention. Abraham chose to be faithful despite his wife being barren. It was the integrity of Abraham and his faithfulness that made God hold him at high esteem in such a way that we are encouraged to look to him.

Can God say the same about you? Can he tell others to look to you as an example?

God is looking for Abraham’s today, and you can be part of His chosen people if you choose to level out the uneven scales of your life, that is quit the lies, deception, secrets etc.

The Holy Spirit will empower you to live in integrity before Him, whether no one sees it or not. By doing this God will hold you in high esteem as He did with Abraham.
