Bishop Macedo’s Visit

Bishops Visit 1
On Sunday 27th March, Bishop Edir Macedo arrived on his missionary trip to London, UK. There was much anticipation for this meeting, as Bishop’s last visit was a decade ago, some attendees arrived as early as 5:30am to secure their seat in the main auditorium.

Bishop held the service from the Rainbow Theatre, our headquarters with around 2,200 attendees. The service was also transmitted via video conference to other Universal Churches across the country.

During the meeting, Bishop Macedo shared the Bible verse taken from Matthew 18:19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” He invited those who were despised, rejected, suffering, desperate, alone and lost in this world to come to the Altar to unite their faith and agree that their life would be transformed through their faith. Bishop declared that his visit wasn’t to give a great message, but to bring a miracle in the name of the Lord Jesus. A cry-out was made agreeing that the people would leave with a brand-new life.

After the prayer of faith Bishop states that God has not chosen wise people from a human perspective. Instead God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise and God has chosen what is weak to shame the strong and He has chosen you. (1 Corinthians 1:27).

He then shared his personal testimony on how he challenged God with His word, he tested God according to his needs and within 24-hours he received his answer. An opportunity was given to the attendees to fight in prayer just like Jacob did in order to change their situation (Genesis 32:22-32).

After the ending of the service, Karen shared her experience: “Arriving to the service, I felt low and didn’t want to attend knowing I made a mistake just yesterday and I was embarrassed about it. But, after Bishop Macedo spoke a word of faith that we should not use our emotions during our prayer and just speak, it revived me and took the weight off my shoulders which was blocking my communion with God.”

Bertha, also shared her experience. “What stood out for me was that our agreement on earth has the power to bring Gods answer to us. Also, we live by faith so God will only answer us when we don’t use emotions. The same power that the men of God have, we have and can reach God when we use our faith, this is the mystery of faith.”

Bishop prophesised this day will mark a brand-new life for those present.
