Bear their Burdens

Bear their burden Community Outreach recently launched an initiative called ‘Bear Their Burdens’ where volunteers go door-to-door in different communities and estates, encouraging people to leave a prayer request with them.

Last weekend, volunteers went to different locations across all of our London branches, for example the Universal Church’s North London branches went to Broadwater Farm, in Tottenham.

Despite the gruelling heat, the volunteers said that many people opened their doors and were happy to see them helping people through prayer.

There was a variety of prayer requests but the main ones were people asking for peace in their local community, as there is a lot of knife and gun crime. Some people also requested prayers for their families.

The leader of the prayer group, Ms Theresa said: “One person was at a stage in their life where they didn’t know what else to do, so for them to come down and offer a prayer meant a lot”.

The prayer group will be dedicating the rest of this month to pray for all those who left a request. We believe that a simple prayer can make all the difference.
