Are you really happy?

blessed by God, Jesus, receive full happiness, Syria, the king himself,

Are you really happy?

“Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.” (2 Kings 5.1)

Naaman was a successful man (he was the chief in charge of the Syrian king’s army).

Naaman was a man whose talent was recognised by the king himself.

Naaman was loved by his soldiers.

Naaman was admired and respected by the whole country.

Naaman was a man blessed by God; through him, God delivered Syria.

Naaman had a wife who loved and cared about him.

Naaman was brave.

But was Naaman happy? Unfortunately no!

Naaman was “almost” happy, but not quite there.

He could have been very happy, but there was a “but”—Naaman was a leper.

Remember that at that time, leprosy was incurable. Lepers would be excluded from society and worst of all, they would head towards their deathbed in a slow, painful, and lonely manner.

This is exactly how many people feel. Although they are working, have a family, come to church, and are brave fighters, they are not entirely happy.

Those who are almost happy are actually never happy.

There is always an “almost” that is consuming their energy; depriving them of happiness; causing them to experience a slow, daily mortification in suffering and loneliness.

The good news is that Naaman found the cure, and you can also be healed and receive full happiness.

This spiritual leprosy will have to leave.

When?

When you revolt in JESUS’ NAME!
