Building blocks

Determined to take control of their lives, the youths of the VYG engaged themselves in a 40 Day Challenge. It sounded easy at the beginning but now 15 days into the Challenge, some are already feeling the pain. Are they going to give up along the way or will they stick it through to the end? Only time will tell.

One thing’s for sure though, throughout the 40 days, those who are engaged in the challenge will see tremendous results as the messages in Thursday’s Youth Development Meeting will concentrate on the ‘five fingers’ their spiritual life, family, health, career and love life and just like Jephthah, they will hold their life firmly in their hands as they learn how to manage those areas in God’s way.

Last week, the youths learned the first and most important lesson of the ‘five fingers’: building their foundation on God. They learned that if they don’t have a solid foundation, anything that is built on top will only stand for a moment.

But when the foundation is solid, no matter what is added to it, it will last forever. How have you been building?

Food for thought: There is only one person interested in your failure - evil. Why waste your time listening to him? Commit to God and He will exceed your expectations.
