So many emotions.

I am of the emotional kind. I remember, as a child, there was a detergent’s advert that used to bring tears to my eyes. Believe me.

Time went by and…

While watching a sad movie, I cry as if the person suffering on the screen was me.

If it’s a fight movie, I want to go out fighting and kicking everything I find my way.

If it’s a children’s movie, I feel like dancing around the house. If it’s a romantic movie, I want to hold my husband.

If it’s a suspense movie, I get scared and scream even without realising it. I cover my eyes and ears.

When I read about tragedies and casualties on the paper, I cry as if I had lost a family member. If I read or find out that someone lost a loved one, I feel sad for the person. If I visit the sick in hospital, I get emotional.

If we go to orphanages, I feel like bringing all children home with me.

I know that many people identify themselves with these emotions, and even with others I didn’t mention.

Living according to our emotions makes us like a wave of the sea. One minute it’s up, the next it’s down.

Obviously, I still have these emotions—after all, I am human and have many

flaws, but there is something that has been added to my life. Something wonderful that brings me balance, that keeps my feet on the ground, that makes me fight and overcome these whirls of emotions: Faith. A gift from God to all of us.

I used the examples above only to illustrate, but the truth is that faith is a weapon that needs to be used all the time, especially against the deepest and most negative emotions that devastate us all every day.

When you are sad, use your faith to get back up.

When someone tells you that you will not succeed, use your faith and believe in yourself. Go and conquer.

When everything seems to be going wrong, use your faith and make it go right. When a family member persecutes you, use your faith and believe that God will transform them.

When you feel lonely in this world, use your faith. Jesus is with you! And if He is with you, you don’t need anyone else.

What would happen to us if it weren’t for our faith? We would be defeated by emotions.

Don’t know how to use your faith?
