Mission: Our aim is to train and equip the users of the Centre to be more competitive and skilled for the job market. The services are directed to helping individuals to overcome barriers, improve their access and opportunity to the labour market by providing quality training, advice sessions, with childcare provisions. We place a high value on supporting and promoting equality, non discriminatory and confidentiality to all our clients. Anyone does better when someone believes in him. It’s amazing what people can achieve when they are in an environment surrounded by positive people - people that encourage them no matter who they are or what their background. The UCKG Training Centre is such an environment. If you’re really not into computers or don’t see yourself working in an office environment but are a more hands-on person, our newer courses might interest you, teaching you skills such as plumbing, painting and decorating and electronics. Are you confused about your future? Are you asking yourself, ‘Should I get more education or should I get a job? Or, ‘What type of career do I want?’ We have an Advice and Guidance officer who will patiently listen to you and offer advice to help you move on. Perhaps you were born abroad and want to improve your spoken and written English. We also offer English classes. A basic human need Any course you take at our Training Centre will lead to a nationally recognised qualification and our Centre is said to be top in the Borough of Islington, retaining 97% of our students with the same percentage successfully completing their course. But it’s not just the courses that are on offer, or nice equipment that makes this Centre so successful. It’s our response to a basic human need - the need to be believed in. Whatever you want to achieve, no matter how disadvantaged you feel you are, we are willing to do our utmost to help you. Hundreds have already benefited. You can too! Call us now on 020 7686 6013 or read more about the courses we have on offer. “A lot of people have gone further than they thought they could because someone else thought they could.” We think you can.
