My love life was non-existent. I wasn’t even interested in engaging myself in a relationship due to the trauma I had experienced after losing the father of my daughter. My daughter who turned 18 this year was 11 months old when her father died suddenly from a heart problem. I was left confused, shocked and heart-broken. I was prepared to remain single for the rest of my life even though I witnessed all my sisters getting married.
All these negative thoughts and feelings started to ease off when I came to UCKG. I heard that it is not God’s will for me to remain single. I was invited to Partners 4 Life and started attending the services and practising what the Pastor would say. During that time, a purpose for the ‘Well of Jacob’ came up and I took part. I wrote a letter to God describing the type of a husband I was looking for. I made a copy of the letter and sealed it vowing not to open the envelope until the day I tied the knot. I would pray holding the letter almost every day for 2 years.
"I wrote a letter to God describing the

At one point I gave up attending Partners 4 Life because nothing had happened in my love life and then a friend encouraged me to go back after I had made a comment on how blessed her marriage was. Three months later, I met Jimmy and we started praying and seeking God’s direction. After a while, we started dating.
Jimmy proposed and we got married on the 26th of July 2008. On my wedding night, I decided to open a copy of the letter that I sent to ‘Well of Jacob’ and I noticed that God had not only honoured my faith, but all the characteristics I wrote in the letter matched Jimmy’s character.
I had lived a lonely life full of negative thoughts for more than 10 years, but when I used my faith God blessed me with a wonderful husband that I intend to spend the rest of my life with.
