Armando's story
 I was very depressed about my love life because I had come out of a long-term relationship that did not work out. Attracting a women was not a problem but maintaining a healthy relationship was what I got stuck on. This time, I wanted more than just a beautiful face. I wanted someone with a sincere heart who wanted to make me happy.
I first met Andrea at my job where she was the manageress. She was so sweet and bubbly. I noticed that she was so kind in nature and there was something that just drew me to her. I liked being around her and the more I got to know her, the more I found myself having feelings towards her. The only thing was…she wasn’t Christian and that was an important thing for me.
I invited her to attend a financial meeting at the UCKG HelpCentre and she came. Andrea decided after a few weeks of attending the HelpCentre that she wanted to give her life to God and become a Christian. I was overjoyed. At this point I opened up to one of the counsellors at the Partners 4 Life sessions and told him that I was really interesting in dating Andrea and taking our friendship to a higher level. I gained some sound advice not only from him but the actual meetings themselves and I decided to let Andrea know how I felt.
Over five years have passed and I am so happy with Andrea. She’s not only what I wanted she’s what I needed. She was and still continues to be my suitable partner. She‘s the one that lifts me up on bad days, laughs with me on good days and is always by my side. Andrea is definitely my partner for life and what’s even more special is that she feels the same way about me too!

Andrea's story
I looked around me and I couldn’t see anyone who would be suitable or would compliment me. I really thought that I would be left on the shelf so to speak. Most men around me were not my type; they seemed to have a low opinion of women and they were swearing and cursing all the time. To be honest I did not think that I would ever find the person that I dreamed of having, the person that would love me for me, especially not in my surroundings.
Armando was a keen worker and there was something about Him that was so different. Not only was he charming and easy to talk to, he was his own person. He was not one of the lads and he didn’t try to be. He did not take part in bad conversation and he respected me as a lady. I really enjoyed having him around. When he asked me to attend his Church for a financial meeting I was happy to go with him.
When Armando revealed his attraction to me I was so surprised but secretly really happy. We dated for a while, gained more advice, counselling and prayers and this really helped me to overcome my fears of starting a relationship. It also helped Armando to bury his past and embrace a new relationship with me. Over some months our feelings developed, we matched, we clicked, we decided to be one and get married.
