CHAIN OF PRAYER - IT WORKS! When someone starts attending the UCKG HelpCentre with any sort of problem, we advise them to make a Chain of Prayer.
The Chain of Prayer aims to encourage, awaken and prepare your faith to take possession of God's promises. Some people, due to the seriousness of their problems, are so overwhelmed and worried that it is very hard for them to release their faith the first time they attend a prayer meeting. Even though it may happen, few are the cases of people who received their blessings on their very first visit. One prayer is not enough. Jesus taught us that we should pray always and never give up (Luke 18.1).
Before you start a Chain of Prayer, you should speak to a pastor for advice. He will teach you, step by step, how to use your faith to overcome your problems. If you are in doubt or confused or if your faith gets weak, do not hesitate to ask for help. Don't be shy. One word of advice can prove to be invaluable, even more so than a prayer. Think of it as medical treatment. Just like when you visit the doctor who monitors your medical improvement, following up on you until you are healed, our aim is to help you through your deliverance until you can use your own faith and no longer depend on the pastors. This is the essence of the Chain of Prayer - to show you how to depend on yourself and God alone!
The success of a Chain of Prayer depends on perseverance. If you don't use your determination, it won't work. When you begin the Chain, you are engaging in a war against the root of your problems; negative forces will try to hinder you from going on with the Chain, but NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, DO NOT BREAK IT. Take it seriously. It's better for you not to start the Chain than to start and not finish it.
A Chain of Prayer is a biblical method of conquering blessings (e.g. God sent 10 plagues before taking the Israelites out of Egypt; He told Joshua to march around Jericho 13 times; the prophet Elijah had to pray 7 times before he could see rain come upon the earth - it works! It has worked for thousands of people just like you and it will also work for you. No matter how big your problem is, the Chain of Prayer will help you overcome it. Use your faith. Give God proof of your faith by being faithful in the Chain and you will see for yourself how much He will do for you. It's time to declare war against your problems. Say to them 'enough is enough' and start your Chain of Prayer at your nearest UCKG this week!
