The UCKG has determined that the year 2008 is the year of exaltation in the lives of all those who put God first. Bishops and Pastors of the UCKG are praying every day over the names written in the Tithers Book at least 4 times a day, for God to make His promise esatablished for the faithful tithers to be materialised. Additionally once a month all tithers are consecrated with the blessed oil, for God's anointing and protection to be upon their financial life.

"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house,
and try Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “ If I will not open for you
the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not
be room enough to receive it.." (Malachi 3.10)
"I have a business in painting and decorating, but it was not doing well. I would get a bit of work here and there from certain firms but then there would be no work for a while. The money I received was substantial but it got wasted on drugs because of my addiction. I couldn’t pay my mortgage and I started to get depressed. As I came to the church all this changed. As soon as I became a faithful tither I landed myself a contract with a building company and for the forth year running, my company has been the best. There are eight other contractors that work for this firm and they have more experience than me, but still, my work always comes up the best. I believe it is because I am a faithful tither and that the work of my hands is blessed. I have enough money to lend and I certainly don’t need to borrow. I have greater dreams and I believe I will get to where I want to be, all for the glory of God.”
Robin Hurkoo, Peckham
"When I came to the UCKG four years ago, I was very sceptical about giving tithes and offerings. I thought to myself, ‘Just another church that wants my money.’ When I saw no immediate changes in my finances, I stopped giving altogether! But then I decided to put God to the test because I learned that it is with our tithes and offerings that God allows us to test Him. Over the years, as I have been faithful by putting God first, I noticed that whenever I am in financial trouble, whether it is concerning rent arrears or bills, God always provides a way for these things to be paid! Now I understand the verse that says, ‘Whatever you sow, is what you will reap.’ When a person invests financially in the work of God, He always gives a big reward. It’s never in the way we expect it - it is even better.”
Temitope Adenugba, Oxford
"I had just recently finished studying and finding work was difficult. I sent out CVs and went for all types of interviews but I never got the job I wanted. As a faithful tither I knew God would give me a top job so I went for an interview for the job of my dreams. Before I went in I said, ‘God I’m a tither and I am faithful to You.’ I determined that I would leave that interview with the job.
During the interview I spoke as if the position was already mine, I spoke with a certainty and it showed. Ten minutes after my interview I received a call offering me the job as their Employment Liasons Officer. I was so happy, I was thanking God because I knew I would have never gotten that position without Him." Hayley Gittens, Peckham
"Just last week I found out that my landlord was having his property repossessed and I would have to move out. I wasn’t told anything about this until I received a court letter. When I went to court there was no judge to attend to my case. I told my barrister, ‘I am not leaving this court until I am seen.’ As a faithful tither I refused to suffer because of somebody else’s mistakes. I believed that God would show His power just as He promised. My barrister said that there was nothing he could do because I’d already been served with papers and that the judge would say the same thing. I refused to leave that court and five minutes later the receptionist called to say that I would be seen in the afternoon. The case was successful and the judge said that I could stay in the property and should not be disturbed at all." Angela Pusey, Stamford Hill
"I was in a job for over 20 years training people, but got tired of watching them move on to positions higher than me. So I decided to study and better myself. Because of this the company deleted my post and made me redundant. I sacrificed all of the redundancy money telling God to bless my faithfulness. I threw myself at His mercy and I wanted justice. One week later the company paid me the redundancy money again! And wrote to me a month later saying they want the money back. I reminded God that I was a faithful tither and had sacrificed that amount of money and so am trusting in Him for a way out. Straight after that prayer, I got a phone call; they decided to let me keep the money, because it was their mistake. How wonderful it is when you use your faith!" Melissa Watson, Finsbury Park
"I used to get a low salary and would jump from job to job just because it paid a little more, which resulted in my financial life going up and down. I knew about tithing but used to tithe from the net, and only tithed when I had enough money. When my financial life didn’t change I knew it was because I wasn’t tithing correctly. I stopped tithing from the net and started tithing from the gross. I would return my tithe from everything I received. I saw wonderful changes after that. I moved to a job which paid me well enough, and now I’m moving to an area which will make me much happier. I was able to purchase a property, I have built a big house in my country and I have started setting up my business too. Everything is falling into place and I have God to thank for this." Gloria Tucker, Peckham
"I was very restricted on how much money I could earn and the hours I could work because I was a student and only had a student visa. I found myself with a lot of overdraft because the money I had was never enough. I tried to apply for an indefinite stay using a lawyer but I was only granted one more year. As I was coming to church I learned to use my own faith, I applied again, this time I applied alone - using my faith and was given my stay. After my commitment to being a faithful tither regardless of any circumstance, things also started to change at work. My employer asked me if I wanted to take up a managerial position, I was only a wages clerk and a student. I did a manager’s programme and now I have the job. Needless to say I no longer go into overdraft." Mulenga Bwali, Finsbury Park
"Before tithing I always had trouble with finding good jobs. I used to jump from one job to another. When I started being a tither, I learned about my rights and authority. I knew I could achieve the level I wanted, which was to be at the top of my game. I decided that my lack of qualifications or age would not hold me back. I then applied for higher position jobs such as management roles and I had the faith and determination to get the job. I believed as a faithful tither I could get it. When I went for the job of my dreams, I reminded God that I was a faithful tither and that this was the job that I wanted and He fulfilled it. I was more than happy because I knew God had come through, as He is faithful and keeps His promises." Joyce Anofienem, Stamford Hill
"I used to tithe some of my income, but not all of it. A pastor once said that if we are not faithful in our tithes then things that we try can go wrong and this is exactly what was happened to me. Every time I tried to save money, something would go wrong and I would have to use that money to fix that problem. Or I would get sick and have to use the money for medication. I knew I I would be blessed if I were faithful, that things would be a lot different, so I made up my mind - I was going to be a faithful tither. Things didn’t change straight way. I was on a low income, but I believed God would give me a better job and He has. I am now in full control of my money and no longer have to spend it on unexpected problems. God is great and we should not limit Him." Kayarina Francisco, Brixton
"I used to work seven days a week for about 16 years. I thought that’s how I’d have to work if I wanted to clear my debts. I was working very hard but had nothing to show for it. I never saw my family or friends and worked like a robot. When I heard and understood about tithe, I did as I learned and within two months I’d sold my old house and bought another, which I then rented out. A few months later I bought another property which I also developed and rented out. I am now about to buy the house I’m currently living in. I work only four days a week so I have weekends off and also a day off during the week. So I’m working much less but earning much more money. I have so much more than I wanted. I still have challenges, but I know I will also overcome them." Brenda Palmer, Peckham
"My financial condition didn’t allow me to have the house of my dreams. After viewing various properties, I found the exact one I wanted but the price was too high. The estate agent said the property was already off the market and in the process of being sold. My husband told me that it would be impossible for us to buy that house because someone else was already buying it. Revolted, I said, ‘You’ll see that the God I serve is the Living God!’ I then lifted my tither's wristband up towards heaven and determined that the house would be mine. Twenty minutes later the estate agent called saying that something had gone wrong with the transaction and that they would drop the price to fit my budget. That's it! I was able to buy the house! It has 4 bedrooms, 2 garages and is very spacious. My husband admits that God has honoured my faithfulness. The house is still being built and will be ready in October." Teresinha Ellis, Cardiff
"I was an unmotivated teen, without any sense of direction, I wasn’t going to college, I was not working nor was I looking for a job. I used to spend my days with my friends out on the streets. I didn’t work and made money by stealing from people and being a watchman for my drug-dealing friends. The money never lasted though. When I came to the church I decided to be faithful to God and do things right. Since I became a tither I managed to get a job where I have been promoted as manager. I no longer need to steal and am more focused and aiming for bigger things." Ishmael Mkansah-Yelbert, Brixton
"If I had to sum up my financial life in three words, I’d say, ‘Out of control.’ I was always having problems with the bank and I was always overdrawn, meaning I was always indebted to my bank. The only consistent thing about my financial life was that things always went wrong. When I became a tither, things improved, but I was still having problems with the bank. They were charging me £30 for every overdraft I had, caused by a company I had cancelled an account with. This went on for a year. As a tither I had rights, I had to be bold and tell them that I want to be refunded and that I won’t pay for any more charges. They cancelled the charges and refunded me for that whole year!" Kalema Reece-White, Finsbury Park
"I can actually say that before I became a faithful tither my financial life was non-existent. For some reason nobody would hire me and all my college applications where turned down. My ways seemed blocked and as a result, I had to live on handouts. Right after I learned about tithing, the doors opened. I really wanted to study this specific course but because of previous rejections I was not sure about applying again but I did. I was really surprised I was accepted and didn’t have to pay the yearly three thousand pound tuition fee. The course was free for me." Maria Jimmy-Sounmi, Finsbury Park
"Money was never an issue for me, even before I started tithing; but it had a hold over me. I would do anything in order to have it and would waste it on things I didn’t even need. But then I would have something expensive and the next thing you know it would be gone. As soon as I became a faithful tither, the protection of God took over my financial life, whatever I lost I would get back. God provides for me even when I had no money, I never lack anything. Money has no hold over me anymore. Instead, the roles have now reversed." Mekdes Kebede, Finsbury Park
"I started my new job in February, and a promotion came up in April for a new role in the department. I applied and out of 90 candidates I received one of the positions. The new role came with an increase in my salary and benefits but, as a faithful tither I believed there must be a clear difference between my colleagues and I, so I asked for a further increase to my salary. I was refused, but my colleague received one instead, and this made me revolt. I used my wristband to determine that I would get the salary increase, as it was my right as a faithful tither. I went back to my manager and asked again for a pay rise. This time something different happened. Instead of receiving the same salary as my colleague I actually jumped his salary by five levels. A clear difference has truly been made. As God blessed me, I decided to bless His house by donating £1,000 for a new keyboard for our UCKG in Brixton." Maria Alagbe, Brixton
"Before I was a tither, I could not hold any job for long and the little money I received I spent only on clothing. In my first year at university I had no means to pay the fees myself, I was in desperate need of money and ended up taking out a loan. But now I realised that that is the quickest way to get into debt. When I started to tithe, it was easy for me to find jobs. I told myself I wouldn’t take out any loans any more. I found a stable job that paid me enough to be able to afford my university fees by myself. I have definitely seen a difference." Nyanit Koang, Finsbury Park
"I used to drive an old car. I didn't know it was involved in an accident and that it was written off. I only found out after I had bought it. It was so shameful, but once I became a faithful tither, I learned how to trust in God's promises to materialise one of my dreams through my faithfulness to God. I have just bought a brand new BMW! It has a beautiful accessorised interior, the seats are leather and the car has a sophisticated engine and so much more. My dream car, exactly the one I wanted. I have experienced great things by being a faithful tither." Gail Goldding, Carddif
"I worked hard every day anticipating the end of the month when I would get paid, but when my wages came it was as though all that work was in vain. I saw no results of my hard labour - the money simply did not last until payday. This was before I learned about the importance of tithing. When I started tithing I realised that I was able to do a lot more with my money, even when it seemed that I had less. I’ve since been able to clear my debts and no longer struggle to make ends meet." Thando Kopo, Peckham
"My financial life was non-existent. The job I had made no difference, I was always losing money. I would lose anything that I had my money in. I learned about tithing, and when I began tithing faithfully, I got a good job, which I enjoy. I had been working there for less than three months and I got promoted. My director was not happy about this and tried to put me under a disciplinary hearing for unknown reasons. I challenged God by giving 15 per cent of my tithe so that He would show His justice. She resigned and I was compensated. not only that, I was also offered her position. I would surely recommend tithing, even when it’s hard. It works!" Juliet Okwuosa, Finsbury Park
"I have been working in my current job since January 2008. The person who previously held my position at the embassy received the same salary for three years. I am a faithful tither and every morning before I started work, I presented the work of my hands to God and asked Him to remove any injustice that was in my workplace, even that which I didn’t know of, and He did. A month ago, a new auditor was assigned to review our finances and ensure that employees were rightly paid. He soon discovered that the amount I received was incorrect. My salary was increased. Furthermore, every year, I will receive a 75 percent increase." Carmen Madiba, Croydon
"When I came to the UCKG my life was in total misery. I could not work due to an illness and my husband and I were in a lot of debt. I received eviction notices and had been taken to court by the bank three times. I used to have to borrow money from friends and depended on handouts. As I learned about tithe and that the first fruit belongs to God, I quickly applied it. I was healed and therefore could work. I got a good job, I sold my house and was able to pay my mortgage. I lack nothing. I can do anything I want, if I don’t it’s only because I don’t want to, not because I can’t afford it." Julie Benjamin, Hackney
"I didn’t realise how important tithing was until I read about it in the tithe booklet. I returned my first tithe at the end of January and saw results immediately. As a physiotherapist I would hold one session every six months but the following Monday, I had three overtime sessions in a month! And it’s not a one-off. I now have one session per month booked till the end of the year. Previously I’d only have two sessions maximum per year. Now I get in a month what I would in a year. And to think, all I needed to do was to be faithful to God." Gail Golding, Cardiff
"My debt had spiralled out of control; before I knew it, I owed £22,500 and had no way to pay the debt back as I was unemployed at the time. I was revolted at the situation because as I was a faithful tither - the court was threatening to evict me and reposess my house - it was simply unacceptable! I remained faithful to God in my tithe and sought help believing God would give me favour. The debt was cut down to £2,000. I will never stop being a faithful tither." Beatrice Edusei, Kilburn
"I was unemployed and had a lot of debt; everything I tried to do always went wrong. I then came to the church and learned about the importance of tithe, but was tithing unfaithfully. My life remained the same. I would apply for vacancies and give out my CV to companies but there were no replies. I then realised my fault and made a vow to be faithful with all the money I got. Not long after, I got a good paying job as a manager, and I also managed to pay off all my debts." Elsa Matzinhe, Leeds
"In 2006 my life was turned upside down. I lost two very well paying jobs in highly established global companies. When I came to the UCKG and heard about the Campaign of Israel, I decided to give my all with the determination that God would manifest His power in my life. A while after, God proved to me that He is faithful. He blessed me with the exact job I had requested. It was in the right location, with the right salary, in the right industry and with the exact job role. A year later, through my faithfulness in my tithe I have been promoted as a Company Training and Development Manager. My salary has increased and I have managed to pay off all my debts in just six weeks, after struggling with them for the last seven years." Samuel Danquah, Bullring
"I had a court case that went on for over a year. I was supposed to receive compensation from an accident I suffered at my workplace. The solicitor was charging me £40 just for a talk over the phone, and it was £3,750 for overall charges. But for some reason he wanted to charge me around £9,500! I became a faithful tither and when I first returned my tithe to God, that same week I went to my solicitor ’s office to solve the matter. The solicitor said that he had made a mistake and that it was only £500 I’d have to pay. I won the case and got my compensation. My financial life is really blessed." Katrina Cuschieri, Cardiff
"Before giving my tithe everything was going wrong. I am a Hairdresser but I could not get a job, and I had so little. But I made a vow to be faithful with the little I had and God gave me more. Today my phone doesn’t stop ringing with new customers and I am prospering more and more. I have been blessed so much that I am planning to open my own hair salon." Fernanda Nabuco de Souza, Plaistow
"I had a lot of bills, but I was tithing unfaithfully, so my financial life remained the same. When I realised this I spoke to the pastor and was shown a verse in the Bible that helped me redeem myself by giving it back and adding a fifth to it. After I began tithing faithfully, whenever I needed money God provided for me. People started giving me money out of the blue, I bought a new 4x4 car and all my bills are paid for."
Rosemary Muzorori, Manchester
"My financial life was in ruins; I had no money to buy anything, not even food. I was in debt, and had been given several eviction notices while facing an immigration problem at the same time! But when I started to tithe, I saw an immediate change. I was promoted three times in two years, which helped me to clear all my debts. I got my permanent stay, and have bought a brand new Mercedes. Now I have recently been made senior manager at work. God truly is faithful."
Mercy Adeoshun, Peckham
"My financial life was a total mess. I couldn’t even give an account of what I had spent my money on. At first I wasn’t tithing properly, I would first spend the money and then tithe the leftovers. So things weren’t going well, I kept losing jobs and was struggling. When I sarted tithing properly things changed. I got a high paying job that I wasn’t even qualified for."
Maureen Obi, Stratford
"My financial life has been a struggle; I would receive money but couldn’t do anything with it because it was never enough. I was always waiting for the end of the month when I got paid again. I learned about tithing and started to tithe. My money now seems to stretch and I’m never short. I’m now also getting extra income, which helps my family."
Harden Bidwell, Kilburn
"Money was like water in my hands, I would spend it on things like clothes and shoes but never on things that were of any importance. I began to tithe and soon after, I had better control of my finances. I have since used my authority as a tither to determine that my money will bring me profit and have sucessfully started running three different businesses. I have no doubts that God is blessing me."
Zimran Bahadur, Woolwich
"It took a while before I started tithing. I was attending the financial meeting on Mondays and I started to understand the importance of returning my tithe to God. As I applied what I learned my life started to change. I was unemployed for over a year and two months after I began to tithe I found a good job."
Lisa Zapata, Finsbury Park
"Since I began to tithe faithfully, my financial life has progressed. I was working temporarily in one of the biggest companies in the UK. Things weren’t going right and this put my job at risk.
But I was determined and remained faithful with my tithe. Now I have been made permanent and have been given a salary increase."
Ian Vaughan, Cardiff
"I didn’t speak any English when I came to England two years ago. The only jobs I could get were manual labour jobs lifting heavy boxes from pallets. I was being paid minimum wage and was unhappy. Though I looked for better paying jobs I was never successful in my applications. I was fed up. A month ago I started tithing and when I applied for a new job - though it required a good English speaker - it was given to me. I’m really happy. I’m earning more and enjoy my new job. All this from the moment I started tithing." Lucimara Futre, Swindon
"I was being underpaid at work and so I started tithing in October 2007. This year I started a new job and after being there for only two weeks, I was given a pay rise. I now earn the same amount of money that senior staff get. There are people who have been there for a lot longer than me but are getting paid less. That’s after just four months of being a tither. I have seen the difference as God says in Malachi 3:18!" Binesh Moty, Wood Green
"From young I was accustomed to scrimping and scraping. My family didn’t have much money and sometimes we even struggled for food. But since I became a faithful tither, my finances have totally changed. In under a year I’ve added £8,000 to my pay and I always progress well in my job. I can take holidays whenever I want to and always have money to treat myself without having to worry about if I can afford it or not." Lisa Bradnock, Tottenham
"Since learning about the tithe we have always been faithful in giving God what is His and have been blessed financially. We are never broke and are always able to lend to others. Our financial goals are materialising. Since we began to tithe, our quality of life is better, we are able to eat the best, wear the best and go to the best places, which we believe is a result of our faithfulness." Kelson and Sherilyn Dos Santos,
Limehouse
"Now that I am a faithful tither, I don’t lack anything. My money seems to go further than I expected - It’s like the oil that never runs dry! But things were not always this way. Before I started tithing, I was always running out of money and was never able to buy the things that I needed. Now, with God’s protection over my money, this problem doesn’t exist anymore." Maria Constant, Wood Green
"Before I started tithing, I had no control over my finances and found that things would always break down. I spent a lot of money replacing and repairing things. I also had a huge problem when it came to jobs, because I could never hold down a full-time job. But since I’ve been tithing things have really changed. I have total control over my finances, I don’t need to waste money with repairs because there are no unnecessary breakages, and I find that I am always provided for.” Samantha Dixon, Enfield
