Wood Green Where U Going? Youth Project
Course details: This project is guided by the VYG (Victory Youth Group). It aims to bring awareness to youths and to prompt them to think where they are heading in life. The project will help young people to equip themselves for the future through training and various social activities. This will enable them to go on to be well represented citizens of the community.
Course content: CLAIT Plus Level 2
The Training/Social Centre will offer the following:
Unit 1:
- Integrated e-document production
- Use a computer to create variety of business documents
- Work with files using database and or spreadsheets
- Mail merge
- Formatting page and text manipulation
Unit 2:
- Spreadsheet and graphs
- Identify and use spreadsheet
- Manipulate data
- Create and use formulae
- Link spreadsheets
- Present data using graphs
- Formats graphs
- Use graphs to obtain information and predict values
Additional to the programme:
- Introduction to Website creation
- Introduction to HTML

- Cash flow network and debt management
- Money management
- Business workshops

Note: The project will offer 1-3 month programmes in a number of areas including the following: cash flow network and debt management, money management, business workshops, diploma in ICT Levels 1&2 accredited by OCR, GCSE revision groups.
There will be an addition number of services offered to the youth namely, personal attention in crisis situations at home, life coaching, relationship guidance, counselling youth based activities, (outdoor & indoor), drama/musical presentations and a 24hr helpline. As part of the VYG Wood Green Where U Going?' project, we will be involved in projects that aim to regenerate the community e.g. community clean ups, football matches, outreach, etc.
