What is a Chain of Prayer?
A Chain of Prayer is a series of weekly prayers made with the aim to awaken and prepare your faith to take possession of God's promises. What would I need to do if I wanted to start a Chain of Prayer?
The UCKG HelpCentre is open every single day and each day is dedicated to praying for a particular problem. Depending on the problem that you face is the day that you will make your Chain of Prayer. For example if you are facing financial problems, your Chain of Prayer will take place on Mondays.
Before you start a Chain of Prayer, you should speak to a Pastor for advice. He will teach you, step by step, how to use your faith to overcome your problems. If you are in doubt or confused or if your faith gets weak, do not hesitate to ask for help. Don't be shy. One word of advice can prove to be invaluable.
What if I miss one day during my Chain of Prayer will I have to start again?
When you begin a Chain of Prayer, you are engaging in a war against the root of your problems. During your Chain, things may happen to try and lead you to breaking it. Such as, you suddenly get called to work late; the weather takes a turn for the worst; old friends turn up on the day that you are supposed to be in the HelpCentre and many other things which may seem harmless but can lead you to breaking your Chain of Prayer.
NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, DO NOT BREAK IT. It's better for you not to start the Chain than to start and not finish it.
Am I guaranteed to receive my blessing within the period of making a Chain of Prayer?
The success of the Chain of Prayer depends on perseverance. From the moment that you start, you should determine your success. Take it seriously. If you don't use your determination, it won't work. If you don't put into practice all that you learn, it won't work. Put thoughts of victory in your mind to replace the doubts and thoughts of defeat.
After my Chain of Prayer what should I do next?
After completing your Chain of Prayer you should immediately speak to a Pastor who will advise you on what to do next and how to develop your faith in order to achieve even greater things in life. You will also be encouraged to mature your relationship with God and learn to love the One who blesses more than the blessing, which will result in a fulfiled life.
