The appeal will take place next year where the UCKG will be given the opportunity to be heard and prove that it is a bona fide Christian church. “I am very pleased that out church has been allowed to reopen and we are confident that all the allegations against us will be proven false”, said Bishop Renato Cardoso, head of the UCKG in Africa. There is wide support for the UCKG from Christian leaders all over the world. For example, in Russia where the UCKG is part of the Russian Union of Christians of Evangelical faith (RUCEF), the Council for interaction with religious communities said, “The Church actively preaches the Gospel, takes part in charities for children’s homes, in places of imprisonment, at homes for aged, according to the Bible doctrines.” Bishop Cardoso looks forward to continuing the outreach activities in Zambia saying, "The UCKG works hard to help people in all the countries it is based and we take the community work we do in Africa and all over the world very seriously. Orphanages, homes for the elderly and HIV sufferers and relief for the poor are just some of the ongoing activities supported by the UCKG." .
