UCKG opens its Plaistow HelpCentre

Released: 30.01.06

The former Anglican church of St Barnabas in St Andrew's Road, Plaistow, London E13 is about to become the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG)'s 11th HelpCentre in London and its 13th the UK.

The formal opening is scheduled for Saturday, February 4, when special services of prayer will take place at 10.00 am, 1.00 pm and 4.00 pm. Bishop Renato Cardoso, who heads UCKG in Britain, will lead the services assisted by pastors from other UK branch churches, Pastor George Barros who is to be in charge at Plaistow and his assistant pastors Michael Lewis and David Panceiro.

We look forward to welcoming members of the local community, church members and regular attenders to informal worship that aims to connect people with God without undue ceremony getting in the way” said Bishop Renato.

UCKG is committed to helping people discover their potential and live life to the full - both here and in the afterlife. People are entitled to be happy and free from want now, despite the fact that so many are not in that position in this day and age,” he continued.

The UCKG HelpCentre is a UK registered charity and Christian spiritual centre that's active in over 90 countries. It offers a wide range of spiritual and down-to-earth services to all comers regardless of their religion or any other factor, on a 24/7 basis through one: one support and an overnight phone service.

At Plaistow as with our other churches people can expect to find pastors who believe in the power of God, on hand to help with real problems, however tough they may be,” Bishop added. “Think of it as a restoration centre, where lives are repaired and rebuilt. We're here to help whatever the need, following in the footsteps of the Lord Jesus.*”

The support available at UCKG Plaistow includes:

  • Daily services: Four services a day at 7.00 am, 10.00 am, 3.00 pm and 7.30 pm which combine prayer with life coaching and practical guidance.
