The UK's 18th UCKG HelpCentre
opens in...Swindon
Released: 05.10.07

On Saturday, 6th October at 12 noon we will be having the Grand Opening of our new UCKG HelpCentre in Swindon, our 18th HelpCentre in the UK.
What was an old Salvation Army building will now house a fully fledged UCKG HelpCentre in the heart of Swindon's town centre, near all the main shops. The HelpCentre is conveniently located no more than a 10 minute walk away from Swindon's train station and is well served by buses and car parks near by.
You are invited to celebrate this Grand Opening led by Bishop Renato Cardoso and come along to take a look at the new building as well as enjoy the fine sounds of the UCKG Gospel band.
As in all our Centres, we will be offering the following services free of charge to all, regardless of age, race or religion:
- Daily services: Four sessions a day at 7am, 10am, 3pm and 7.30pm which will not only consist of prayer but also life coaching and practical guidance.
- ROD Group: This group will provide support to prisoners and help them to integrate back into the community upon release if applicable.
- Drop-in counselling: Pastors will be on hand 365 days a year to lend a sympathetic ear to those that need it and offer spiritual and practical advice.
- 24-hour helpline: A 24/7 helpline provides counselling advice and prayer on the end of the phone from a 27-strong team of trained and qualified pastors and assistants. The helpline number is 0870 068 2000.
- Youth Group: This will guide young people to develop their full potential through practical teaching and spiritual development as well as lots of fun activities.
- Patient Care Group: This will be made up of volunteers who will visit patients seven days a week to provide companionship and help alleviate suffering both spiritually and physically.
