Local residents and UCKG church members in all three areas can get their blood pressure tested by qualified nurses on Wednesday 14 and Friday 16 September from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm, and on Sunday 18 September from 12 noon to 6pm. “Regular checks mean that high blood pressure can be diagnosed and treated. This is important in reducing the risk of strokes, heart attacks and other conditions,” explains Pastor Paul Hill. “Advice on diet and lifestyle to help avoid high blood pressure will also be provided by representatives of the Blood Pressure Association.” Blood pressure testing is easy and painless, and ‘Know Your Numbers' week provides the perfect opportunity to be tested and pick up valuable information on how to lower your blood pressure. Even if your blood pressure is normal it is still important to know your numbers, so that you can keep track of your blood pressure while following the guidelines for a healthy lifestyle. UCKG is a Christian church and registered charity that offers a range of practical support activities alongside spiritual support and comfort. Its work for a wide range of community projects and charity initiatives over the years has helped to make a positive difference to the lives of thousands of people throughout the UK.
