Who beat Harry Potter?

Do you know which DVD outsold Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and everything else in the US in 2006, after having eclipsed Harry Potter in the box office? As you might have guessed it was The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

This film made over $740 million (estimated £400 million) in the global box office alone, without the DVD sales and at the point of its release had the biggest Christmas opening eve, the top opener being The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

During his time at Oxford, C.S Lewis went from being an atheist to being one of the most influential Christian writers of the 20th century;and with the new movie coming out on the 26th of June - Return to Narnia: Prince Caspin, it's set to be a big blockbuster this summer.
