A recent survey conducted in some churches in the United States found that when children have a problem, the first place parents prefer to take them is to a psychologist.
Of course, if your child is sick, he or she should immediately be given medical attention and be taken to the doctor. But what if the problem is something beyond what a doctor can give? What if the problem is a spiritual one that a psychologist cannot help with?
Sigmund Freud, who was considered a genius, was a medical doctor, a physiologist, and the father of psychoanalysis. Yet all this knowledge did not help him and what many people don’t know is that he committed suicide.
So how can you help your child when the experts fail? Even if you are getting help from doctors, what more can you do to help your kids?
This Sunday, the Blessing of the Children will be taking place in all UCKGs. Parents all over the UK will be praying for their children to be protected and will be asking for wisdom in how to bring them up in the right way.
If you don’t want to miss out on this special blessing, bring your child or teenager to any UCKG HelpCentre this Sunday at 10am.
If you need to speak to someone about an issue you are having with your child, call 020 7686 6000 and ask to book an appointment with the pastor at your local branch.
