Michael Jackson could lose Neverland

Pop star Michael Jackson could loose his Neverland ranch if he is unable to pay the £12.5 million ($25 million) in arrears.

Neverland, a 2,800 acre property in Santa Barbara, California, sports a zoo and fairground which includes all ferris wheels, carousels, merry-go-round type devices, and other amusement rides; was bought by Jackson in 1987 and was intended to create a fantasy land for children.

However, Jackson has not lived at the ranch since he was acquitted of child molestation charges in 2005; and it was closed in 2006 after he was unable to pay his employees or maintain the adequate insurance for the property.

Consequently, Jackson, who at one point was worth over £300 million ($600 million), owning to various music and real estate assets is now thought to be in serious financial troubles.

It is often incorrectly thought that financial problems are not faced by those who have a large amount of wealth; however, Jackson’s situation suggests that this may not always be the case. Hence, it appears that those who are indeed wealthy can also face difficulties if they are unable to deal with their money. Furthermore, many in the UK often find themselves unable to control their finances, and find themselves in increasing debt.

At the UCKG HelpCentre every Monday, meetings are held in order to help people with their own financial difficulties. Whilst the problem of many may be the non-existence of sufficient money or the apparent means for which to make it; some find themselves having money, but being unable to hold on to it, or still facing problems with spiralling debt. Arguably, similar to that of Jackson.

Many people have arrived at the UCKG HelpCentre facing such difficulties; but upon receiving advice and prayers, found that they now have the ability to control their finances. Furthermore, debts and other financial problems which appeared insolvable have now become a thing of the past.

If you would like to receive advice or a prayer regarding your finances, please visit one of our HelpCentres or call 020 7686 6000.
