Jade Goody, Big Brother star has cancer

Miss Goody shot to fame when she first appeared on Big Brother as an unknown personality but soon hit the headlines after coming second in the TV competition with her witty and what some have thought to be ‘dipsy’ persona.

She then went on to earn millions through various business entities such as perfume lines, an autobiography and other TV realities shows.

But, things went down hill after Jade was re-invited to appear on the Celebrity version of the show which showed her passing comments described as being racist and having arguments with a well-known Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. Since then, Jade’s credibility went soaring down and reports of her sinking into depression hit the tabloids. She even at one point thought God was punishing her for the mishaps and loss of her child.

The 'upset and frightened' reality TV star was appearing in the Indian version of Big Brother when she was given her test results and was told she had cervical cancer. The 27-year-old was a contestant on Bigg Boss 2 when she was called to the Diary Room to speak to her doctor.

He told her the results of a recent biopsy taken after a series of recent mystery collapses. In an interview with Reveal magazine, which took place just two days before she flew to India, Jade admitted her fears.

She said: 'I know going to India sounds crazy, and a lot of people will criticise me for it, but I have to pay my bills. And if I do face cancer, I need to make sure I can support the boys. It's really hard not knowing what is happening. I'm trying to block it out and not to get too depressed.'

It's important to go for your regular check-ups at the doctor.
