Healing night event

Sick of being sick and fed up with not being able to do what others can, many came to the Healing Night Event on Friday determined to see a change. The powerful healing event opened with a short message and prayer for God to open people’s minds to the fact that it is God’s will that they be well.

God would not want any of His children to hurt,” said Bishop Renato as he explained that accepting an illness as fate and baring with it as some king of act of humbleness is not what God wants. “Healing begins the moment you start thinking like God. And God’s will is that you be well,” he said.

As the pastors formed a corridor of prayer on the alter the people were invited to walk through it in spirit of prayer believing that as they received the laying on of hands and prayers, by the time they reached the other side of the corridor, they’d be free from their health problem.

As they were encouraged to test their healing and do what they could not do many started bending, lifting their arms, pressing on where they felt pain to find that they were able to do what previously was impossible to them. Sitembile, who had been unable to bend following an operation excitedly gave her testimony of healing and tested it in front of the entire congregation by picking up a child - something she was unable to do for 2 years.

Before making another prayer, Bishop Renato revealed some truths about healing. He firstly reiterated once more that it God’s will is that we be healthy, and secondly that in the same way that people are alive because their spirit gives them life, the same goes for disease.

Giving the example of the woman in the Bible who was bent over for 18 years, Bishop explained that there is a spirit of infirmity that gives life to disease. With this he explained that when a problem is spiritual, the cure has to be spiritual. With the same authority that Jesus used to cast out the illness from that woman, bishops and pastors prayed for the people’s healing.

A prayer was also made for those who didn’t need physical healing but rather inner healing.

Healing prayers take place in all UCKGs every Tuesday. See if you too can benefit. Attend one of the sessions at 7am, 10am, 3pm and 7.30pm.
