Dismiss the mystery, discover the
Holy Spirit

Last Friday night hundreds of people from all London UCKG branches gathered at the Rainbow in Finsbury Park for the Night of the Holy Spirit.

Bishop Julio Caesar, fresh from the airport after his pilgrimage to the Holy Land to present the prayer requests from the Campaign of Israel, encouraged the people in the packed auditorium to allow the Spirit of God to take residence in their lives.

Prayers of surrender were made, followed by moments of praise and worship. Beautiful songs were sung in adoration to the Lord Jesus, and a solemn and peaceful atmosphere enveloped the picturesque theatre as hundreds put their problems aside and sought a supernatural presence: the Holy Spirit.

The occasion was marked by Bishop’s first presentation of the blessed water that he had collected from Gideon’s Spring (the place where the 300 men were chosen).

Bishop together with various pastors, mixed the water on the altar and filled the cross-shaped bottles in front of the congregation.

Use this water in the area of your prayer request. If your request was financial, then sprinkle some on your documents, if your request was for your family, then sprinkle some on the photos of your loved one...” Bishop added.

Monthly meetings

The hour-long meeting highlighted the importance of receiving power from above - a power that has the potential to completely change a person’s life. In an effort to emphasise the importance of God’s Spirit, the Night of the Holy Spirit will be held on the last Friday of every month beginning at 10.30pm sharp. The next meeting will be on February 29 only at the Rainbow Theatre. Everyone who has a desire to grow spiritually should attend.

Bishop Macedo’s new book

Moreover, Bishop Macedo’s newly adapted and much anticipated book, The Holy Spirit hits UCKG Bookshops next week. To mark its amazing launch, pastors and their wives will be available for counselling at all UCKG Bookshops during its launch week to answer questions regarding the Holy Spirit.

• How do I know I have the Holy Spirit?

• What is the Baptism in the Holy Spirit?

• Do I have to speak in tongues?

• How do I go about receiving the Holy Spirit

The book launch will be spread over three days:

• Wednesday 6 Feb: 6.30pm - 7.30pm

• Friday 8 Feb: 6.30pm - 7.30pm

• Sunday 10 Feb: 9am - 10am

"There is much confusion surrounding the Holy Spirit and that’s why pastors and their wives will be at the Bookshop to offer help to those who really want to seek the Holy Spirit but have doubts about Him. The Holy Spirit is the One who gives us power over every problem, doubt and plan of the enemy. Who is going to win this battle between good and evil? You decide.

Everyone should make the most of this opportunity and be freed from any doubt and receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit in their lives!” said Bishop Julio.

Released on Sunday, 3rd February 2008
