“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord
your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which
I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you
high above all nations of the earth.”(Deuteronomy 28.1)
Did you know that the Bible contains over 30,000 promises of blessings for God’s people? According to these promises, you should be living the life of your dreams. They should have you covered in all aspects - financially, spiritually, in your health, family, love life and accomplishments in general. But why is it so difficult for Christians all over the world to see these promises really coming true nowadays?
Is it possible that God has forgotten all about His promises? Or that He has changed His mind about blessing His people? Perhaps they were meant for people in Bible times, and are not relevant to us today. Is this what you believe? Well I don’t!
The thing is, despite the number of promises that the Bible has, they all come with conditions. This is not a catch; it’s the method God uses to reward those who live by faith and also to point out the lack of faith in those who don’t.
For instance, in chapter 28 of Deuteronomy there are really amazing Bible promises, regardless of whether you want to be blessed in the city or in the country. But you must bear in mind that these promises come with a condition. This condition is not only that you obey, but that you obey DILIGENTLY. It is not enough for you to simply observe the commandments, but you must observe them CAREFULLY. That means you should be really committed to knowing what God expects from you and do it to the best of your ability.
The problem today is that Christians observe the commandments but don’t act upon them. Either they are not willing to obey to the full extent or they simply have some disbelief in the commandments. They even declare that they believe in the Word of God, but still they are not prepared to fulfill the conditions established.
The only possible outcome for this scenario is frustration.
Friends, if you truly believe in the Word of God, get rid of all the doubts that are impeding you from acting your faith. You are wasting precious time - time that you could be enjoying, but instead, you are suffering and hanging on to the false hope, that God will have pity on you and one day answer your prayers.
Do not fool yourself: if you are not seeing any results, then the problem lies with your faith. Remember, it is not what you say, but what you do that shows what you believe.
