For young single mothers

With more and more babies being born to teenage parents, Britain currently has the highest number of teenage pregnancies in Europe.

To avoid problems in later life, the UCKG decided to help young single mothers by addressing the issues of teenage parents. This initiative offers teenage mothers not only support and advice, but also a place where they can speak openly to other teenage mothers who have successfully managed to enjoy life with their children as well as move forward with challenges such as education.

The first message that the group puts across is that parents should never allow misguided pride, guilt or shame to influence any decisions that would improve their lives and help them to provide for their children. From then onwards, the group works to reinforce the teens’ personal strength and confidence so they can move forward.

• Time management
• How to still enjoy yourself while being a responsible mother
