The Patient Care Group is comprised of men and women who visit patients and those who are housebound on a voluntary basis. They aim to help alleviate suffering both spiritually and physically.
The volunteers visit people regularly on any day of the week, and anoint and pray for them according to the Word of God that says: "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord." (James 5:14) They are also there to lend a sympathetic ear to the person's problems.
Agnes Musikavanhu, the leader of the group says: "Our goal in visiting the sick is to offer genuine love and support to all who may have lost hope or have no one to turn to while alone and in pain. Patients are just so grateful to have someone to talk to and give them support. Some even recover faster than expected due to feeling much better following our visits. It's a real pleasure to help them in this way." Register a relative or friend for a visit.
