When having just isn’t enough

Before the Signs Event in July 2006 I didn’t know where my life was heading. I was working in a factory making kitchen units and doing DJ-ing on the weekends to make ends meet. It was so terrible because many times I found myself in dangerous situations.

My mother and sister both owned two homes each and there was I, living in a council flat.

I never had anything for myself. I’d learned that anything good in life requires sacrifice. I sacrificed in a Campaign of Israel and then went ahead and asked God for a house but I knew that to own a house, I needed a good job with a good salary, but I was working in a factory where the wages were low. So one week after presenting my sacrifice, I applied for a better job and it was amazing because I got it straight away and it was much better paying. Things like that didn’t usually happen to me.

By December I still didn’t have my house so I decided to do something about it. I went to the bank for a mortgage and was offered only three times my monthly wages, which wasn't enough for the deposit. I was given an ultimatum... The manager told me that if I could find a house in seven days - this meant finding the property, solicitors and the agent - he would sort my mortgage out. I managed to look at twenty houses in one week. When I saw the last house I thought, ‘This is the house.’ - It was so nice.

I put in an offer for a certain amount but the lady was selling it for a higher price. She asked me to go higher but I completely refused. Because of my sacrifice I knew that God was with me and that the house would be mine. Soon after she called me back and offered me the house. There were three other offers before mine - I don’t know if their bids where higher or lower but one thing is for sure, that beautiful house belongs to me!

When the next Campaign of Israel came around (June 2007), I decided to take part. My life had to be even better. There were two things that I wanted from the Campaign: another house, and the knowledge from God on how to get greater things. I knew that I could only focus on one thing at a time and so I decided to sacrifice for knowledge, because when you have that, you’ll know how to get great things.

After this, I received an unexpected amount of money in my account that was owed to me. From the equity on my first house I was able to put a deposit on a second house. Today, I own two houses and drive a Mercedes. I now plan to get a house every 6 months.

My experiences from the Campaigns of Israel have changed me from being very shy, to being bold enough to say, ‘Listen, this is what I want and I want it yesterday!’ And I don’t take 'No’ for an answer.
