I started coming every Tuesday and it was a real effort to attend because of the unbearable pain but I put that aside and was determined to fight against it. During the services, I saw people getting healed and heard people’s testimonies and I remembered how every time after the service, the pastor would determine people’s healing and tell them to do what they could not do before. I could see people walking, bending over… doing the things they couldn’t do before, but I wouldn’t dare imagine that I could bend over because, first of all, it meant that I’d have to take off the brace, so I just didn’t try it.
But when I was at home one day, I wanted to see if I could bend over. I took off the back brace, took a very deep breath and started to bend a little bit. I realised it wasn’t too bad. So I tried again but this time I bent down all the way. Then I did it again, 1,2,3 times and I just knew that I’d been healed. I was so happy! When I went for my hospital appointment, the nurses at the reception couldn’t believe it was me. My doctor was equally surprised. He took some X-rays that proved that everything was perfectly normal. He said I had no more need for medication or the brace - I was fine! My spine is back to normal. Today I feel strong, I feel well, and I am healed and free. I was able to return to work and have been working for 6 years for a multi-national company. I’m living proof that healing is possible no matter how ‘terminal’ your condition.
